THE WARMTH OF WOOD, THE RESISTANCE OF BAMBOO

Sound-absorbing Mat for Floating Parquet Installation

SOUNDPROOF MAT FOR LAYING FLOATING PARQUET

We also provide a mat for floating laying alongside the 12 mm strand woven bamboo parquet with click interlocking. Pavibamboo has elected the Isolmant soundproof mat, which is synonymous with high quality and Italian tradition.

The mat is an important element of dry laying; its primary purpose is to provide a soft layer between two otherwise hard elements, namely, the substrate and the parquet, which, when positioned in direct contact with one another, would generate loud noises and would never be able to fit together.

What to put under the floating parquet?

To ensure maximum comfort and reduce noise, it is essential to place a quality noise-reducing mattress under the floating parquet. Pavibamboo recommends the use of Isolmant mats, designed specifically for wooden floors. These mats provide excellent acoustic insulation, guarantee good resistance to dynamic loads, maintaining the comfort of a full and solid walk, without voids.

How can I solve any void under the floating parquet?

In the presence of an uneven substrate, a common problem that can arise when installing floating parquet is the presence of empty spaces between the floor and the substrate. By using a sound-absorbing mat of suitable thickness such as Isoldrum N or Isoldrum Film, it is possible to significantly reduce these voids. These mats are designed to conform to small irregularities in the screed, ensuring a more uniform and stable surface for your floating parquet.

SOUNDPROOF MAT FOR DRY LAYING PARQUET

Features

  • specially developed for wooden flooring;
  • capable of insulating from the sound of footsteps (typically the sound which is transmitted to surrounding areas, both side by side and below);
  • capable of insulating itself from reflected noise (the sound generated by the room itself);
  • capable of insulating itself from rising dampness (where necessary);
  • resistant to dynamic loads, i.e. the flow of people at one location;
  • capable of zero deformation (remains crushed) in the presence of any permanently distributed weights;
  • compressive resistance, i.e. resistance to heavy loads at a certain point on the flooring; the mats must be maintained to prevent the click interlocking feature from breaking;
  • conformability: depending on its thickness, the mat is able to absorb any minor irregularities inside the screed, and therefore can reduce full and empty spaces created in between the parquet and the substrate.

Recommended products

  • Isoldrum N (high acoustic comfort inside the rooms without any anti-humidity restrictions), thickness of 1 mm.
  • Isoldrum Film (high acoustic comfort in adjacent rooms, reasonable resistance to moisture), thickness of 2 mm.
