In order for it to remain shiny for decades, we recommend that you take some simple advice, normally used for all solid wood flooring.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><strong>GENERAL ADVICE<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Clean the entire surface once the flooring has been laid;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>then it is a case of\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #003300;\">regular cleaning<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0being key to keeping <strong><span style=\"color: #003300;\">the flooring in <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1489 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pavibamboo.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/pavimento-bambu-attico-roma1-350x211.jpg\" alt=\"attic bamboo flooring rome\" width=\"350\" height=\"211\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pavibamboo.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/pavimento-bambu-attico-roma1-350x211.jpg 350w, https:\/\/www.pavibamboo.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/pavimento-bambu-attico-roma1-848x512.jpg 848w, https:\/\/www.pavibamboo.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/pavimento-bambu-attico-roma1.jpg 993w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/>pristine condition<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0for many years. It is therefore advisable to clean it using a vacuum or to sweep a broom across the surface to remove any corpuscles which may cause it damage on a regular basis, depending on the traffic using the flooring;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>wooden flooring operates as\u00a0<span style=\"color: #003300;\"><strong>natural ambient moisture regulators<\/strong><\/span>; when the surrounding area is dry, the wood releases any moisture inside it, which helps to make the ambient air less dry (for example using heating during the winter); when the surroundings are very humid, the wood absorbs any moisture and withholds it inside, which helps to make the air drier (for example when it is hot and humid outside during summertime). This is an excellent feature of wooden flooring; only the wood itself actually helps the indoor surroundings maintain a more or less constant level of humidity. The problem may arise when <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1490 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pavibamboo.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/ristrutturazione-pavimento-open-space1-350x263.jpg\" alt=\"open space flooring renovation\" width=\"350\" height=\"263\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pavibamboo.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/ristrutturazione-pavimento-open-space1-350x263.jpg 350w, https:\/\/www.pavibamboo.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/ristrutturazione-pavimento-open-space1.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/>the surrounding area is too humid (meaning the wood can still absorb any excess moisture, but it swells up too much), or when it is too arid (meaning that the wood continues to release any moisture inside it, forcing it to dry out and crack). The conduct of the flooring varies from species to species, however in any event, we would always advise to keep humidity levels within a certain percentage of between 40% and 60% throughout the year;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>be careful to ensure that the\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #003300;\">surrounding area remains adequately ventilated<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0and change the air inside the rooms from time to time; even the parquets need to breathe;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>do not let liquids of any nature wet the bamboo stage for more than the time necessary to remove them;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>just like all hardwood flooring,\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #003300;\">bamboo can be reconditioned<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0after several years if required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #003300;\">STRIPES, SCRATCHES AND WEAR AND TEAR<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-1483\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pavibamboo.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/bona.jpg\" alt=\"bona\" width=\"205\" height=\"209\" \/><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There is no such thing as scratch proof wooden flooring, however by taking these small steps you can significantly reduce the likelihood and frequency of scratches:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>position a carpet outside and inside the exterior door to avoid any harmful pebbles from entering inside;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong><span style=\"color: #003300;\">apply a series of small felt pads under the chairs<\/span><\/strong>, tables, armchairs or sofas to prevent them from sliding and scratching the floor;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>try to lift them rather than dragging them across the surface when moving any furniture or heavy objects, or drag them by putting something soft underneath their feet; no parquet is able to withstand furniture being dragged without it leaving a few lines behind.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><strong>CLEANING<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>avoid cleaning it with water as the wood will be damaged and do not even use soap, ammonia or other products used on non-wooden surfaces;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>instead of this you should\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #003300;\">use the appropriate Bona Spray Mop<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0which is available from the warehouse for the routine treatment of bamboo flooring; this is a product which has been designed specifically for prefinished hardwood parquets; do not dilute it, but use it neat instead;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" title=\"Watch the video\" href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hKy8TTrpRfg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Watch the cleaning video<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>should any oil, paint, lipstick, ink, tar stains or anything else soil the parquet, then remove all of these promptly using\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #003300;\">a drop of alcohol<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0tipped onto a dry cloth; you can then remove any residue using a soft, slightly damp cloth;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>steam cleaning is not recommended;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>you do not need to use any wax;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><strong>it is possible to clean the floor by simply using a small amount of water and neutral detergent;<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0it is important that the cleaning cloth is very well wrung and that any moisture which forms on the parquet during cleaning evaporates almost immediately;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>do not use any low-quality supermarket cleaning products, as some are detrimental to the parquet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>THE IMPORTANCE OF USING RECOMMENDED PRODUCTS FOR CLEANING BAMBOO PARQUET<\/h2>\n<p>In a market where you can find a multitude of products for the care of wooden floors, it is essential to know how to choose the right ones to ensure optimal and long-lasting maintenance of your bamboo parquet.
