THE WARMTH OF WOOD, THE RESISTANCE OF BAMBOO

Material Origin

ORIGIN OF THE MATERIALhotel hardwood bamboo

The species of bamboo which is most suitable for use as flooring is Phyllostachys Pubescens, whose common name in China is Mao bamboo (Moso bamboo in English); this species is part of the wooden bamboo family and grows exclusively in the Far East (China, Japan, Korea etc.). Our raw material stems from a mountainous region located in the inland region of China, which is set at a high altitude (1,000 metres), and which has relatively cold winters and very hot summers; the altitude, combined with a significant difference in temperature between summer and winter slows down the growth of the plant and makes it more dense and heavier. This is reflected in a greater weight of the flooring and an increased impact resistance, whilst it also ensures that your floor is able to last considerably longer once it has been laid.
